Paying for Bariatric Surgery
Paying for bariatric surgery should start through your insurance company to see if they will pay for it. If not, inquire whether having comorbidities will help you get approved for it. If the answer is still no, you may be able to self-fund. Chat with the billing office of the hospital where you want to have it done. See if they have any charity programs to help with financial assistance. Otherwise, you could take out a personal loan, work an side-hustle, or find ways to qualify for a different medical insurance company that will cover bariatric surgery. Search through the posts in this section for more information on paying for surgery.
