Welcome to the sleep strategies section of Stop Weighting, Start Doing! In this section, you’ll find tips on how to sleep better and stay asleep longer. These tips will help you wave rejuvenated and motivated to tackle your day. You’ll also find tips on winding down at the end of the day. Additionally, I’ll provide tips to shut off your brain when it just seems to keep spinning. Some great ways to wind down at the end of the day include meditation and a relaxing bedtime routine. Light an aromatherapy candle and play relaxing music as you get ready for bed. Do some gentle stretching and turn off the electronics. Remember, the more sleep you get, the better your body can work. You’ll be more motivated to tackle your healthy lifestyle changes. You’re also more likely to make choices to help your body lose weight. Bariatric surgery is a tool to help us lose weight, and sleep is required maintenance for that tool.
