Welcome to the start exercising section of Stop Weighting, Start Doing! In this section, you’ll find tips to get started exercising, even if you’re a couch potato! Making exercise a consistent habit will be instrumental in your success as a weight loss surgery patient. Also, if you’re an emotional eater, exercise can become the emotional release that food used to be for you. Start exercising today to get all of the great physical and mental benefits from it!
Exercise can take on many forms – from running and weight lifting to yoga and pilates. Any type of activity you can add to your life is only going to improve it. Try a variety of workouts until you find something you really like. If running isn’t your thing, try swimming. If weight lifting is too much, try using your body weight for resistance. The important thing is to start. Once you start, you’ll never look back.
