Welcome to the weekly bariatric meal prep section of Stop Weighting, Start Doing! In this section, you’ll learn how to prep your foods each week to set yourself up for success. We’ll cover topics like how and why you should meal prep. We’ll also go over meal automation and how that makes life easier for the busiest of people. Weekly meal prep doesn’t have to take a ton of time either, just an hour or two each week can set you up for success for the entire week. Weekly Bariatric Meal Prep
During my own bariatric journey, I found having foods prepared for me to eat was much easier than deciding each day what to eat. For this reason, I meal prep every week to save myself time, calories and money. I no longer have to worry about having time for breakfast or needing to stop at the drive-through. I save that money and calories each week by preparing my own breakfasts. I also save by preparing my lunches for the week. I don’t have to waste money eating out or consume food that hasn’t been prepared in a bariatric-friendly way. I think meal prep is essential to being successful as a bariatric patient. However, I understand it’s not for everyone. I encourage you to just try it for a week and see the benefits it provides.
