About Me. Get to know me, see my photo progress, and be inspired! About Me | Meet Nicky Bicksler @ Stop Weighting, Start Doing!

Welcome to the About Me: Meet Nicky Bicksler section of Stop Weighting, Start Doing! In this section, you’ll find more information about who I am, the journey I went through, my photo progress and motivation that helps me through my bariatric journey. My hope is that you’ll see the journey I went through, see the challenges I faced, the obstacles I overcame and be inspired to continue with your own weight loss journey.

Meet Nicky Bicksler

Before I continue, let me introduce myself a little further. I am a 31-year-old woman from Central Pennsylvania. I had my vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery on June 18, 2018. Prior to surgery, I managed to lose 80 pounds through eating healthy, tracking my food, exercising more, sleeping better and managing my stress. Since surgery, I’ve lost over 150 pounds. My total weight loss is 230 pounds. My goal weight is 160 pounds.

I am a child of God and born-again Christian. God receives all the glory for my successes and accomplishments. I thank Him daily for blessing me with the life he’s given me. I’m also Aunt Nicky to five beautiful nieces and five sweet nephews. I love being their aunt, even to the ones who aren’t related to me by blood. Exercise is a big part of my life now, and I enjoy running 5k races. I have goals to run some obstacle races and a 10k race. The beach is my happy place.
